Anna's Linens completes JDA Software's POS solution implementation

RBR Staff Writer Published 02 August 2011

California-based home furnishings specialty retailer Anna's Linens recently implemented Arizona-based supply chain management software provider JDA Software's Point-of-Sale (POS) solution.

The implementation reportedly occurred in two phases. Three months of planning and design were followed by deployment and go-lives at two pilot stores. The system was then rolled out in all Anna's Linens stores. The existing POS system was replaced with JDA POS, and the JDA Merchandise Management System (MMS) was also integrated with it.

Speaking on the occasion, Anna's Linens COO Scott Gladstone stated that the idea behind leveraging JDA solutions was to acquire the capability and functionality for advanced couponing, capture customer data, and integrate the same to its workforce management system. He said that this was done to gain a competitive advantage and provide customers with a higher level of service.

Currently, Anna's Linens operates more than 280 stores in 19 US states. Stores are located in Alabama, Arizona, California, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.
