Blue Yonder launches new sales forecast solution for retailers

Published 18 September 2013

Blue Yonder, a SaaS supplier of Predictive Analytics solutions for business users, launched a new solution called ‘Forward Demand,’ which enables retailers to forecast sales.

Forward Demand is a data-driven application, which claims to provide precise sales planning and granular forecasts to enable the retailers to avoid costly over or understocking errors.

The solution is also designed to analyze sales history and takes into account additional factors, such as individual campaigns or holidays to provide accurate forecasts; and a quick overview of all relevant planning factors, enabling users to optimize their product dispatch in real-time.

Providing all the benefits of the cloud, Forward Demand features an intuitive, user-friendly interface to deliver comprehensive forecast and sales data by integrating into any existing infrastructure, across standard protocols and data formats, without any extra investment.

Integrated within the IT landscapes of organizations, the existing interfaces can be used instantly and external data sources can be included easily through Blue Yonder central SaaS platform approach.

The solution provides various advantages to organizations such as quick return on investment through precise decision and solid forecasts; and reduction of stock levels and write-offs by up to 20%.

Forward Demand also helps dispatchers and IT staff to plan more efficiently, using demand-based sales forecasts for physical, online, and multi-channel retail outlets without investing in a complex infrastructure or finding data scientists.

The companies which plan to use this solution include German sushi, wraps, and sandwiches supplier Natsu, and delicatessen Delikant Feinkost.
